I have been teaching Dental Residents and Students since 1975 and have used several computer-based Education systems. Most of them were not easy to set-up, use, add lessons, or monitor students. There was always a big learning curve as an Instructor, Lecturer, or Course Director. MobiFirst Academy changed all of that.

I have been using MobiFirst Academy for some months during its Beta Testing and have started creating courses for my Dental Residents at the hospital where I am an Attending Prosthodontist. I have also started setting up Training Courses for my local ham radio club.

Academy allows quick and easy set up of a Course with one or more Professors on the teaching staff. Each Professor has a profile with a name, photograph, brief, and full biography sections. Within each Course, I can set up Lessons that can incorporate a video presentation of the Lectures, a functioning PowerPoint Presentation that is secured in the cloud, a list of websites the students can explore for more information, a set of handouts in PDF, Word, Excel or other formats, etc. There is the option for quiz creation to test the students’ learning. A great feature is the ability to present the Lecture/Presentation Live (webinar-style) using Zoom, Facebook Live, Facebook for Workplace Live, or YouTube Live, or any combination of those Streaming services, all built-in to the MobiFirst Academy Platform. 

If one also has or gets access to the MobiFirst Website Platform, the sky is the limit on connecting the two. With that, you can create all sorts of content on the Website platform, link to it within a Lesson, and have the student return where they left off in the Lesson when they are done with that extra module.

It is also exciting to be working on Future Features that the Academy will be adding. Currently, it is a robust, full-featured, easy-to-use Educational Course Development Platform, that will only have more great features added over time.
